June is my favorite month. Not only was I born in June, but it’s the month where it really starts to feel like summer. Summer tours are a rolling. Like mine:

West Coast tours during the summer are amazing. I can’t wait to be by the Ocean, to eat fresh sushi and be able to bask in the sunlight instead of sweat to death! The only city on this tour I haven’t been on is Amarillo..I’ve never been to Amarillo..it should be interesting! There are six venues I haven’t worked at Golden Light, Avalon (it’s new!), Doug Fir (but I’ve eaten here MANY times…zomg can’t wait!!! I’m gonna eat all day!), El Rey, White Rabbit, and Emos (though I’ve seen like 12 dozen shows here haha).
Tour is super short. I’ve done three short tours in a row and it always makes me nervous since I live month to month pretty much. Longer tours= more money, less expenses. On tour I get to save a lot. I basically still pay for rent and util. in Austin and then whatever spending money. I wouldn’t trade my life in for the world but I do wish I had the job security that a lot of my friends do. However, I do have a pretty sweet deal, I will admit. I get to travel the world for free and even when I’m not traveling my days are really flexible. Hopefully my label job will pick up. I feel like I’m not doing enough, but I don’t know what to do! It’s very frustrating.
Today, I really enjoyed life and the world. I sat in my little nook and thought about things while the sun beamed down on me. Afterards, I went for a jog and I really felt free. It made me realize that Austin is the place for me and I need to start taking advantage of the things it has to offer. It also made me realize the things I will miss when I leave my 1st apartment in Austin.
- Being so close to Pease Park (wonder if the East side has good running parks..though, I will have access to a gym)
- Being close to the GOOD bus lines (1M/1L/5), I will closer to SoCo and SoLa in my new place but bus lines there are a batch to get to.
- Character..it is weird moving into an apartment that is so shiny and new..I never thought I’d move into an apartment.
- The Drag.
- Coziness of my room/hardwood floors!
