Hey all, sorry for the lack of updates. Currently in San Antonio, watching Jones Street Station soundcheck. I can’t get over how amazing these guys are. I am going to miss them soo much when tour ends in 3 days. I can’t believe these 2.5 weeks have already come and gone. It has been a super quick tour. I’m going to give you a quick update of the week and some notable tour stops and eats. Hang in there though, gotta finish setting up!
Okk.. LA..umm YUM.
Hung out w/ my best friend in Los Feliz (near Silverlake/LA) and ate good food all weekend!
Eating vegan meatloaf dinner at Real Food Daily.

Followed by some vegan chocolate cake and vanilla almond ice-cream

Late night dinner of soy cashew chicken, which blew my mindd!!

sooo amazing!!!
For lunch on the day of the show we ate orange soy chicken. No pics cuz we ate it too fast! People ask me why I eat this fake meat stuff if I’m vegetarian, why not eat the real stuff. Well to be honest with you, I rarely eat meat substitutes. Sometimes I do crave things like orange chicken (I haven’t had chicken in over 5 years due to allergies), but I try to stick to a diet of fresh veggies, fruit and good proteins and avoid a lot of the processed fake meats, which can be as unhealthy as eating meat everyday. My fake meat of choice is definately chicken since I never eat it! So yummy in my mouth!! haha
Tucson.. wow I haven’t been THAT drunk in a REALL long time. Here’s a suggestion: stay away from sweet tea infused vodka. 40% alcohol. I had 4 of those shots and 2 whiskeys and apparently had more to drink, but I don’t remember…I danced a lot. Helped people karoke.. it is all embarassing but whatevs, we all had a good time. Too bad I was massively, MASSIVELY hung over the day before. My line of work has me dealing with a lot of drunks so I’m always wary of drinking and the most I’ve had this tour is ONE beer. Not to mention some drunks are plain annoying and I never like looking at the people who fall over and puke all over the place. However, I didn’t fall over and didn’t puke all over the place..until the NEXT day that is! Horrible, I’ve never been soo hungover and I’ve never thrown up sooo much!! Uhh..so yah. Tucson was both a good and bad time. I had to work the next day so it was not fun at all but by 7 or 8 I had stopped throwing up and was feeling like a person who was alive again. Note to self: don’t drink myself to a stupor even on days off, especially if I have a show to work the next night. Lesson learned.
MARFA- The most incredible day off ever!! Ben’s friend in Austin hooked us up at El Cosmico. A boutique trailer park hotel..it sounds weird but they’reĀ abunch of trailers that have been renovated and serve as a hotel. I did a photoshoot there for our bassist, Chris. I pooped in an outdoor stall but wasn’t brave enough to shower outside with all the critters. Later on in the day our hosts drove us to Ben’s friends’ ranch house outside of Marfa..it was SOO AMAZING. Surrounded by hills and mountains and wild hares and deer like animals. We had a cookout, built a fire, went stargazing and sang campfire songs. It was so awesome. Here are some outtakes from the photoshoot.

sorry the last photo was so small! it kinda cuts off in my blog when it is bigger, which i don’t know how to remedy.
3 days left of tour..so much to do after it!!
See you soon blog!
