Decorating tips for the decorating impaired.

Posted on 31 July 2009 by maisquared

Wow. So it has been almost 4 weeks since I moved into my new place and it is still as bare as EVERRRR. My room is coming together but not much else. HELP is needed. Anyone have any tips? The greatest challenge will be the living room. My roommate’s style and my style clash. She likes darker (her folks bought her black plether couches…ahhh) and I looove lighter. Anyways, here are the photos as well as some photos of things I would like to include in my own room.

Lovely kitchen.. One thing I love about my place (there are a ton of others as well), LIGHT.. LOOOVEEE well-lit apartments.

here’s what i’d like to add in my bedroom

Nice place! You would be asking the wrong person about how to decorate. When we move, I’m planning to invest in some massive canvas prints to hang around the place. I can’t wait!

That is, canvas prints of our own work. =)

    hey Mai,

great place! sorry about the clearly clashing style. you two should go shopping together and try and pick pieces that meet in the middle.

what are your plans for wall art? there are some good posts on apartmenttherapy:

mai! if you want to do that clipboard thing above, there are a TON for CHEAP ones at tops on 5th street on the east side… they’re in the fun office supply section to the right when you first walk in the warehouse entrance… all of these look really cute!
